Sweetheart Roland: Children’s Book

Sweetheart Roland is a children’s book written by the Grimms Brothers. The story follows a girl who is running away from her mother, that is a witch. Like all Grimms Brothers’ stories, Sweetheart Roland has an unexpected twist that starts creepy but has a happily ever after ending. The book was illustrated with only one color and uses hatchwork that gives off chaos and eerieness. However, as the story progresses and the main character escapes from her mother the hatchwork and harsh black tones down for the happily ever after.
